When he was 14 years old, he would leave home and join the local Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crips, which was a sub-group of the larger Crips gang that was based in his home neighborhood of Crenshaw. He would enroll at Alexander Hamilton High School but eventually dropped out before he graduated. He was raised and brought up in the Crenshaw neighborhood of Southern LA with his sister Samantha and his brother Samuel. Ermias Joseph Asghedom or better known by his stage name Nipsey Hussle was born in Crenshaw, LA, California to an African-American woman and an Eritrean immigrant.
